Meet Our Brokers
Own with a piece of The Valley. The Moreno Valley in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Northern New Mexico, home to Angel Fire. For decades this high alpine valley has been a place to escape for those who seek an outdoor lifestyle. Now that you can work where you play, Angel Fire offers the perfect balance of being out of the city but not isolated from the community - at a third the cost of Colorado real estate.
Born and raised in Texas - adopted by The Valley.
My wife and I were enjoying the fruits of a successful career in operating public and private oil and gas exploration and production companies. We had raised our children in the plains of Southern Kansas and the Hill Country of Texas eventually landing in Dallas. Summers were hot, winter was unpredictable and didn’t offer much in way of “a lifestyle”.
We were always looking for an escape. My birthday is in July, and we had long used that as an excuse to head to the mountains to celebrate. Sitting on a bench in Angel Fire, NM, on my 51st birthday, I discovered my “why The Valley”.
From my late teen years to that day, I had always been drawn to the mountains; winter skiing, summer golfing and fishing, game nights by a fire. The memories are plentiful. I knew then that If I could help enough other people discover the mountain lifestyle of this beautiful valley, then my wife and I could escape the city and “hang our shingle” transitioning from oil & gas land management to land brokerage and real estate. It was back to school to sit for the New Mexico Real Estate Agent license exam and then again for my Brokers license. And what I’ve discovered along the way is that helping people find their “why” in The Valley has brought me some of the most cherished relationships we enjoy. All around the Valley, you’ll hear people say, “Ask Edd” when it comes to Real Estate in The Moreno Valley; estate properties, ranches, single family homes, condos, a lot to build a dream home or 2nd home, allow me to help you discover Why The Moreno Valley.
I discovered my “why The Valley” in 2004. I started working in the construction industry in 2000, in Amarillo, TX (have you heard about how the wind blows in Amarillo?). When my Uncle Edd moved to Angel Fire in 2001, I began to seriously consider how I could leverage my construction skills to work and live the mountain lifestyle. Working initially in new construction I began to specialize in renovations, repairs, and maintenance. Knowing that a good work ethic is always in demand, I now had the experience and the desire to enjoy The Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Northern New Mexico year-round.
After a couple of years of “plying my trade”, I soon found myself managing a small ranch property in the Valley in 2007 and, I’ve been enrolled in a combination of online and in-class courses at New Mexico Highlands University In Las Vegas and will soon graduate with a degree in Forestry Management and Ecology. Every season in The Moreno Valley opens up a new way to enjoy this amazing Alpine region. From our work as property managers of the SnowFire condominium complex, to home care services and construction, I want to offer my knowledge and experience of the area to those who need the real estate services of Angel Fire Homes. Land, home or commercial property transactions, I can help you make informed decisions about the opportunities here in the beautiful Moreno Valley.
I have been coming to Angel Fire since 1982 when my twin brother Kyle and a friend from Mcallen opened up Resort Properties Real Estate and Property Management. I fell in love with Angel Fire way back then, and have always enjoyed Skiing, Hiking, Motorcycle Riding, and especially playing golf in the mountains. I started Vacation Rental Website’s with my brother in 1997 called Condoco and Tripbeat. We did rentals all over and did a ton of vacation rental business in the Angel Fire area. Finally, I left my hometown behind and moved to the mountains and got into the Real Estate and Property Management business in 2008. Started the Property Management business with Angel Fire Homes who was already established in the Real Estate and Construction business. We sold the management company to Vacasa and I worked as a Business Development Manager for 4 years in the Northern New Mexico region.
It was a great decision and I love living and working here in Angel Fire. I’m very happy to be back where I started with Angel Fire Homes!! My office is at the Gold Creek Condominiums across the street from the Angel Fire Resort Hotel. If you have any questions or just want to look around please contact me. I’m always happy to show off our beautiful Moreno Valley and surrounding areas.
